Crayons

This picture was taken at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. I used this picture for a weekly assignment. I like this picture because it shows the difference between the monochromatic and the colors of the crayons.

Bubbles...

I chose this picture because I like the way the bubbles look. I cloned one of the bubbles into the picture too make more bubbles and make them stand out more.

I like this picture because of the colors and composition. I did very little editing on it because I thought it was fine the way it was.

New York

This picture just about sums up my New York experience, all the energy and light and motion in Times Square. Fun stuff. And I like the way it's framed, as well.

This photo was inspired by my friend who wanted me to take a photo for her senior announcements. She wanted it at the park because it reminded her of when she was little and used to play at the park.

Bubble

I like this picture because the motion blur in the background really makes the bubble stand out. 

Cosmo

I took this picture because I love my cat, and I thought it captured her perfectly. She is a lazy, spoiled girl. I used black and white on the background and then faded it so it wasn't completely black and white but you could see her better. I also put a vignette on it because I thought it brightened her face even more.

Shells

I took this picture for a weekly assignment. I like how the colors pop out across in a diagonal, and everything else is blurred out and darkened. These pictures were taken at the store. They were by the door where the wind chimes were.

I chose this picture because I really like the way it looks. I really like the dark border. I enhanced the color and made the saturation brighter.

I took this picture for a toy assignment we had a few weeks ago. I like this picture because I like the way the lighting was and the angle that I took the picture at.

Wild

              I chose this picture because I like the way the toy stands out against the green grass and how its paws are intertwined with it really makes the picture more realistic.

Concert

I like the feel of this photo, and the lighting gives it a nice ambience. I have a bunch of random little knickknacks like these, so it was nice to actually use them for something.

The Simpsons

This is another photo from my toys assignment. I took this on my front porch. I like the background because I think it fits perfectly with the characters' activities. All except one are puzzle pieces which make Lisa stand out from the rest.

Pepe Le Pew

This picture was for my toys assignment. I really like it because it's cute and simple. The skunk it positioned to look like he's looking for a valentine's card. I took this while valentine's products were still in stores. This image is one of my personal favorites.

The One Dwarf

When I took this photo I wanted to tell a story. I tried making it look like the characters in the back were having a conversation, while the dwarf in front was posing for the camera. I blurred the background because I thought it gave it more of a contrasting look.

Frog

This picture I used for a recent weekly assignment. I did my assignment on flash photography. I picked this picture because it looked pretty cool. I used a black cloth to black out the background and flash to bring out the colors of the frog. I also like the frog because it looks cool.

Ball Head

I chose this picture because I like the way the toy stands out. I took this while I was at my house just for fun doing example photos for the toy assignment, but I decided I really like this picture. I took this toy from my moms boyfriends son and he went and watched me take these pictures and he loved it!

Purple Lily

This picture was taken in the flower section of Safeway. I did a weekly assignment on flowers, so I walked around and picked my favorite flowers and took several shots of them. I really like this one because of the color contrast between the green and the purple, which drastically emphasizes the lily.

Memories

I chose this old photo that I took early in the year because I miss the big tree that used to be at the front of our school. It brought back a lot of memories.

Rose

When I took this photo I was just thinking of taking photos of flowers. After I took it I realized  it reminded me of the flowers we will soon be getting for your graduation!!

I took this picture when i was doing a weekly a couple weeks ago. I really like this picture because i like the way it came out and how the light is shining through. I used my friend Maggie as a model.

Drops

I took this picture in the school garden when we were getting a lot of rain. There were water droplets all of the plants so I decided to use it in my assignment. I like the way I was able to focus on the center of one blade of grass. The contrast between the water and background really makes this photo stand out.

Bright

I chose this picture because it has a lot of contrast to it, I really like the color of this picture. I took this picture at my house just having fun with the camera and I turned the background to black and white. I made the flower a little brighter than it actually is.

Beach

I took this picture at a lying down position. I thought it was a nice picture because it gives a different perspective on the beach. Usually when you think of the beach you think of a sunny warm day, and in this picture it's dark, dreary, and foggy.

I took this picture a while back. It was for a weekly assignment which was black and white. I really like this picture because I like the way that it tuned out and it was in my friends hand. It defines real friendship.

Water Colors

This photo was taken a while back for our Black & White Assignment. It was originally all black and white but I decided to edit it again and use color splash to reveal the colors in the water color set. I love how the color splash effect really make the colors pop and makes them the main focus.

For my last weekly assignment I chose to take pictures of spider webs that I found around our school garden. This was my most successful shot. I like it because of the way the radial blur I put on it really makes the plant seem like its popping out of the picture.

Flight

I took this photo intending to use it for a different assignment but ended up not I still like it though and intend to use it for something else UN-till then it is a good photo to look at!

Real Life

Having an open assignment was difficult at first. One day I had an urge to spray paint a wall. I then thought it would be an awesome photo assignment to take pictures of graffiti. The used an abandoned house to spray paint and I used my awesome friend Ben as my model. I knew I wanted to spray paint something that had meaning to me, so I thought about one of my pet peeves and made it into a quote. I loved how everything turned out. The only I would have changed or liked it to be different would be the lighting in this picture.

I took this picture at my school in the garden. I thought it was a great idea to put the flower on a picnic table.Also I did color splash and it turned out to be a nice master piece.   

Love

I chose to do this picture because I was just messing around and taking pictures of jewelry and I liked this one. I really liked how it turned out. I took it on school campus.

Flower Power

I didn't really have an inspiration for taking this picture. For one of my weekly assignments I decided to take pictures of flowers. I loved how this picture turned out, the complementary colors of the green and pink and the blurred background. This picture turned out perfect and has then became one of my favorite pictures.

Flower Child

Selective coloring makes a photo so much more interesting to me. This photo constantly reminds me of summer and I cannot wait for the sunshine. The pink in the center of the photos really pops.

Morph

For this photo I blended 6  of my images together in Photoshop. I like this photo because of the way everything flows together and that it's really interesting to look at the different components.

Old cat

I chose this photo because it is the best out of all of my photos this week. I found it to tell a story because I have had this cat from when I could fit her in the palm of my hand.  

Simplicity

I took this picture in our school's garden for one of my weekly assignments. It had been a while since I had taken photos of flowers so I decided to get back into it. Overall this was my favorite photo because it's simple and I like how the brightness in the background brings out the flower's beauty. ❀

Water drops

This picture was taken in our garden at the high school. I chose to do this assignment for my weekly on water drops. I like this picture because of the beautiful colors in this flower. I love taking pictures of the flowers in our garden.

Cabbage

This picture was taken at Safeway. I chose to do my weekly assignment on vegetables, and I walked around the produce department to look for bright, vibrant vegetables. I chose this picture because I like how the green cabbage is in focus, and a lot of the intricate details can be seen. In addition, I really like how the water droplets are clearly in focus. I also like the color contrast between the bright green in the foreground and the dark purple in the background.

Misty Silhouettes

I took this picture at Mackerricher State Park on a very windy day. I love the blue colors of the oceans, mountains, and sky, and the way the black contrasts with that. The picture feels a little unbalanced because of all the different elements, but I like it anyway--the tree reminds me of a beckoning hand and I think it's cool how the fence aligns with the mountains.

Cars

This photo was taken in my driveway between my brothers' cars. For our assignment we were supposed to take shots of toys and place them in a realistic setting. This photo stood out to me the most because it was the most realistic one I took and I found it extremely cute!

Spring

 

This was the photo I chose because it reminds me of the coming of spring. This is a beautiful season because of all the new blossoms on the trees. When I saw these cheery blossoms they reminded me of the coming of spring and new things.
