a camel walking along through a rocky patch in the desert

Misty Silhouettes

I took this picture at Mackerricher State Park on a very windy day. I love the blue colors of the oceans, mountains, and sky, and the way the black contrasts with that. The picture feels a little unbalanced because of all the different elements, but I like it anyway--the tree reminds me of a beckoning hand and I think it's cool how the fence aligns with the mountains.

Cars

This photo was taken in my driveway between my brothers' cars. For our assignment we were supposed to take shots of toys and place them in a realistic setting. This photo stood out to me the most because it was the most realistic one I took and I found it extremely cute!

Spring

This was the photo I chose because it reminds me of the coming of spring. This is a beautiful season because of all the new blossoms on the trees. When I saw these cheery blossoms they reminded me of the coming of spring and new things.

FOR LEGOTOPIA!

For one of our photo assignments we had to take pictures of toys that were realistic in a way. By realistic I mean creating a scene of "real life". I thought it would have been easiest to create scenes with legos because legos pretty much have everything done for you. In this picture you see a little guy in a castle who appears to be a king about to eat his delicious lego food and drink his lego beverage.

Arrow

I took this picture at Noyo Harbor, on the walkway down to the parking lot. I noticed the rock looked somewhat like a small mountain, and I tried to take this picture from that perspective. I was happy with the way it turned out--I like how all the lines in the photo seems to be pointing in the same direction.

Alone

I chose this photo because it was taken during my favorite season. The leaf is surrounded by many dark leaves which made it stand out to me. I also really like how the grass makes the leaf pop. This was taken during the very first couple days of fall when the leaves were beginning to change. This photo shows lots of symbolism to me.

Fireworks

I took this picture because i think that the way that the sparks travel is interesting. they look similar to watching the fireworks.

Omar

The reason I chose this photo is because I think it is one of my best pieces of work. It was taken in the moment I had left my ice cream bowl out and was going to go get something-- when I came back he was happily licking the almost empty bowl. It was too cute an opportunity to not document. Spontaneous moments like these I feel are when some of my best work is done. And who does not like a picture of there little furry friend.

Make a Wish...

This photo was taken the first week of school. It has remained my favorite so far even though about 6 months has passed. I have always been fascinated by wishing and superstitions. The close up shot of the subject blowing the dandelion is lovely because you cannot see her face and can imagine it being almost anyone. Everyone has made a wish as a shooting star passed by or as they blew out the candles on a birthday cake, so throw a penny into a fountain and wish that I can continue taking photos like this...
 Evolution Of Leaves
The reason I choose this image was because when I look back at it it reminds me of one of the most beautiful seasons; fall. What I love the most about my picture is that it shows the color difference and contrast that these leaves go through during fall. The color cycle of leaves begin as green leaves then with time they change to red leaves. To make my image stand out more I decided to use the Black & White effect for the background.

After the rain

I like this picture because it only has one drop of water on one of the berries. I also like how bright the berries are and how much they stand out. I like the blurred black and white background because it brings out the berries strong red color. Another thing I captured at the right moment was the sun hitting the berries in the back of this picture.

Think Pink

I liked this picture because of the way the flower really stands out against the gray background. I also like the way I captured the due drops on the petals, I feel that they really help the flower stand out more. For me this symbolizes to stand out and be yourself. Having the flower at the bottom of the picture helps bring you up to the very top petal, which I feel has some of the most detail.

Be Unique, Be Yourself

I really like this picture because I like how the single droplet looks against the plant. I really like how the plant has a bunch of different bulbs, but only a single droplet of water. I took this picture because to me it symbolizes that you need to stand out and be unique when you're in a world of  "normal" people. To me it shows to just be yourself and to never hold back.

Never Letting Go

I took this picture because I thought it looked nice the way Maggie was holding it but also how the flower looked. It kind of reminds me of Hawaii. I've never been there but I always hear it's very beautiful and relaxing.
